Peace be upon you & Hey!
Bismillahirrohamirrohim
few months back i had received lots of email regards tips for interview. huahuahua. FYI, im not really good in interview thingy but yes, i do have experiences in interview. but just twice. first was chemistry teacher for overseas study [IPG] and second was degree in pharmacy at USM. and now end up with degree in medical doctor UKM :D
in sha Allah i will share few experiences what should and should not do during interview.
1. confirm the interview date
i know it sound cheap but guys, trust me if you takes it simply then if something goes wrong, don't blame your parents for not reminding you because even yourself didn't take note about it!
2. prepare all the documents needed
this is so important brother and sister! please ensure that you already completed everything that they asked.
because i was once during my IPG interview and i didn't realise that they asked for pasport picture and end up with i cut out my license picture and paste it! astagfirullah.
3. prepare before interview
at least do some preparation about course that you'll be interview at. it is important because the interviewer will view you through that so that they'll know how many percent you're into that particular course. of course if you're lucky maybe the interviewer will ask you something far away from the topic. taking my friend as example, well the interviewer only asked him to sing and he passed :) bravo! *i bet he must has a good voice . huahuahua
#make a shortnote on what you will say.
4. acknowledgement on general knowledge
fill yourself with as many general knowledge as you can. know about parliament, minister thingy.
5. dress code
usually for a male as expected you are expecting to wear slack and kemeja with tie of course. please dress smartly, you don't want due to dress code you'll be rejected! and for female, this one i got from the interviewer itself, they said baju kurung is perfect for any interview. dont wear something too dark nor too light. use heels if can and a little bit of make up. but DO NOT UNTIL TABARUJJ! and make sure you're hijab is in a proper position not ke laut or ke darat. and iron them! don't be lazy! HEHE
6. punctual
if in letter said 8am then be there at 7.30am at least! be early because you don't know what will happen in future. and good thing of being early is let say your document ain't no complete yet so you can complete it there :)
and if you're late, trust me you already show them your true colour without need them to test you with variation of questions.
7. good in english
as english is a lingua franca so obviously almost all interview will held in english particularly science related courses. be confident during speaking! you can do it babeeeh!
8. eat first
you don't want your tummy to make weird sounds during interview session aren't you? so at least drink. don't let your tummy empty as it will end up with something that worsen your condition.
9. I don't Know
tips from the interviewer itself, if you don't know then just say I DON'T KNOW. because if you cheat, they'll know you're cheating :) they are not stupid and if you're cheating then you're the stupid :D
10. don't stress
I know it is a stress moment when you sit in front of 5 or 4 interviewers. in sha Allah be cool ok. answer the question one by one and be clear. ask from Allah to make things become easier.
11. closing
lastly before end the interview session, do say thank you and hope to be accepted. as it will show how serious you want to be in that course or university or whatever. and show you're fine.
so basically these are all general tips or experience that i can share on based on 2 interviews. and FYI, not all tips given had done by me during the interview. well im not perfect and i also learn from situation and interviewer itself :D
hoping that these tips will help you little bit :) in sha Allah.
but all and all brother and sister, it all will return to Allah SWT as HE is the truly decider or interviewer. and let say if you've been rejected, please don't be sad because something good is waiting for you in future. just like i did :)
believe in Allah swt as He is the best planner ever we had. there must be a solid reasons why you're not chosen in that field or course :) KEEP CALM AND TRUST IN ALLAH SWT.
till we meet again
xoxo,
HS
